Shannon, I believe it's an imitation leather type material on the outside and it's a canvas webbing material on the inside. I cannot swear it's imitation leather, but where I can pull it up and see the backing it looks material instead of hide. The yellow part is actually kind of tan and is the "fancy" label which reads dog.com luxury and has a small picture of a dog!
